Updated HS Circuit Top 25: Week 2

The high school hoops season is underway for the second official weekend this past weekend and a plethora of elite matchups were on display across the country once again. 

As we head into Thanksgiving week, few top-25 programs and more held their own this past weekend with one upset that took place. Below we take a look at the week 2 updated HS Circuit Top-25 National Rankings. 

1. AZ Compass Prep (AZ)
Record: 8-0

Dragons improve to an 8-0 overall record to begin the 2021-2022 high school season and will head to Dallas this upcoming weekend as they are set to compete in the Thanksgiving Hoopfest. 

2. Montverde Academy (FL)
Record: 2-0

Montverde Academy got their season underway this past weekend and won their two games in dominate fashion. The Eagles will head to Atlanta this weekend to compete in the Holiday Hoopsgiving showcase. 

3. IMG Academy (FL)
Record: 2-0

IMG Academy begins their 2021-2022 high school season 2-0 after winning both their games in the Charlotte Preseason Classic. The Ascenders will have one more game this weekend before the Holiday break. 

 

4. Sunrise Christian (KS)
Record: 3-0

The Buffaloes win two games last week to improve to 3-0 on the 2021-2022 high school season and will be headed to Memphis to compete in the Memphis Hardwood Classic. 

5. La Lumiere (IN)
Record: 5-0

La Lumiere wins both their games last week versus Minnesota Prep (MN) and Premiere Academy (TX) to improve to a 5-0 overall record on the season. The Lakers will be off until they start NIBC play in two weeks. 

6. Southern California Academy (CA)
Record: 4-0

Southern California Academy makes the biggest jump in this week's updated national top-25 rankings from nineteen to now number six in the country. The Rams defeated top-10 Prolific Prep (CA) last weekend and will head to Atlanta this weekend to compete in the Holiday Hoopsgiving. 

 

7. Sierra Canyon (CA)
Record: 3-0

Sierra Canyon began their 2021-2022 high school season in San Diego at the San Diego Tip Off Challenge and went 3-0 without Amari Bailey (UCLA). The Trailblazers will have one more game this week before they head to Dallas to face Duncanville (TX) at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest.  

8. Link Academy (MO)
Record: 8-0

Link Academy goes to Kansas City and gets two more wins at the Darius Miles Blood, Sweat, and Tears showcase to improve to 6-0 on the year. Lions will have a top-10 matchup later this week in Memphis versus Prolific Prep (CA) at the Memphis Hardwood Classic.  

9. Prolific Prep (CA)
Record: 6-1

The Crew took their first loss of the 2021-2022 high school season to a very good Southern California Academy (CA) team this past weekend in Phoenix. Prolific Prep will head to Houston for a game before their showdown with No. 8 Link Academy (MO) in Memphis at the Memphis Hardwood Classic. 

10. Wasatch Academy (UT) 
Record: 0-0

Wasatch Academy will begin their 2021-2022 high school season later this week on November 26th at the Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta.

11. Greensboro Day (NC) 
Record: 5-0

Greensboro Day wins three games last week to improve to a 5-0 overall record on the season. The Bengals will have three more games this week and this weekend. 

12. Oak Hill Academy (VA)
Record: 8-1

The Oak Hill Academy Warriors win two back-to-back games and improving to an 8-1 overall record on the season. Oak Hill Academy will be off until their showdown with No. 2 Montverde Academy (FL) on December 2nd. 

13. Camden (NJ)
Record: 0-0

Camden will begin their 2021-2022 high school against No. 17 Roselle Catholic (NJ) on December 17th in a North Jersey, South Jersey showdown. 

14. Westtown School (PA)
Record: 3-0

The Moose go 3-0 to begin their 2021-2022 high school season at The Phelps Tournament. Westtown School will have one more game until they head down to D.C. for the National High School Hoops Festival post-Thanksgiving. 

15. Long Island Lutheran (NY)
Record: 0-0

Long Island Lutheran won't begin their season until December 4th. 

16. DeMatha Catholic (MD)
Record: 0-0

DeMatha Catholic won't begin their 2021-2022 high school season until December 1st. 

17. Roselle Catholic (NJ)
Record: 0-0

Roselle Catholic won't begin their 2021-2022 high school season until December 17th when they travel to No. 13 Camden (NJ). 

18. Dr. Phillips (FL)
Record: 0-0

Dr. Phillips will begin their 2021-2022 high school season this week on November 24th versus Lake Highland Prep (FL) at the Metro vs Florida.

19. Combine Academy (NC)
Record: 3-0

Combine Academy will be back in action this weekend at the Charlotte Hoops Challenge this weekend. 

20. Whitney Young (IL)
Record: 0-0

Whitney Young won't begin their 2021-2022 high school season until December 4th verse Gonzaga High School College (DC) at the Chicago Elite Classic. 

21. North Little Rock (AR)
Record: 0-0

North Little Rock won their 2021-2022 high school season opener versus Maumelle (AR) this past weekend. The Charging Wildcats will head to Dallas this weekend to compete in the Thanksgiving Hoopfest. 

22. Orlando Christian Prep (FL)
Record: 0-0

Orlando Christian Prep will begin their 2021-2022 high school season later this week on November 24th versus Wekiva (FL) at the Metro vs Florida.

23. Real Salt Lake (UT)
Record: 0-0

Real Salt Lake will begin their 2021-2022 high school season this week on November 23rd versus Tooele (UT). 

24. Calvary Christian (FL)
Record: 0-0

Calvary Christian won't begin their 2021-2022 high school season until November 27th versus Highlands Christian (FL). 

25. Huntington Prep (WV)
Record: 1-1

Huntington Prep enters our top-25 national rankings for the first time this season. The Irish start the season 1-1 out in Kansas City and will head to Atlanta this weekend to compete in the Holiday Hoopsgiving.
