IMG Academy, located in Bradenton, Florida, is one of the top high school basketball programs in the country. With an impressive roster of players, the team is gearing up for a run at the GEICO National Championship. Led by Head Coach Sean McAloon, the Ascenders have built a reputation as a powerhouse program since his arrival.

With a totally new roster this season, The Ascenders have started to play extremely well towards the end of the season. 

After spending a few days around the players and coaching staff, I truly believe that they have a legit chance to capture a GEICO National Championship. 

One player to keep an eye on is 2023 point guard Jacoi Hutchinson. The George Washington commit is a dynamic playmaker on the court and possesses great court vision, making him a threat on both ends of the floor. With his ability to distribute the ball and create scoring opportunities for his teammates, Hutchinson is sure to be a key player in the Ascenders' quest for a national championship.

Another rising star on the team is 2024 top 30 wing Khani Rooths. Rooths is a great two-way player who is known for his defensive prowess as well as his scoring ability. He is a tenacious defender who is able to disrupt opposing offenses with his length and athleticism. On the offensive end, Rooths can score from all areas of the court and is a reliable outside shooter

Leading the team in scoring is 2023 4-star Georgia Tech commit Blue Cain. The combo guard is a versatile scorer who can create his own shot and knock down shots from beyond the arc. With his quickness and agility, Cain is also able to penetrate the defense and finish at the rim.

Jamier Jones will undoubtedly give the Ascenders some valuable minutes off the bench. Jones is a hardworking player who is always looking to improve and learn from his teammates. His energy and enthusiasm on the court are contagious and will help to elevate the team's performance.

Another rising star on the team is 2024 4-star wing Amier Ali. Ali brings elite scoring to the team and is able to get hot from beyond the arc. He is a smooth scorer who is able to create his own shot and is not afraid to take big shots in crucial moments.

Head Coach Sean McAloon has been instrumental in building the IMG Academy program into a powerhouse. Since his arrival, the Ascenders have consistently been one of the top teams in the country. With his ability to recruit top talent and develop players, McAloon has created a winning culture at IMG Academy.
